Rainy Adventures and DIY Raincoats: Exploring Lucerne, Switzerland
Welcome to my day one travel blog from Switzerland! Today, I'll be taking you on a journey through the charming city of Lucerne, where rain couldn't dampen our spirits!

Arrival in Zurich and Train to Lucerne
Our adventure began as soon as we touched down in Zurich. With excitement buzzing in the air, we hopped on a train headed for Lucerne. Everything felt new and thrilling, especially for the kids who were wide-eyed with anticipation.
 Rainy Arrival in Lucerne
Upon arriving in Lucerne, we wasted no time settling into our apartment, eager to rest up for the adventures that awaited us. Little did we know, Mother Nature had other plans for us the next morning.

Rainy Day Creativity
As luck would have it, the next day greeted us with rain showers. Thankfully, we were prepared with our trusty raincoats, but poor Rui Na was left without one. With a bit of creative thinking, we fashioned a makeshift raincoat for her out of a garbage bag! Who knew traveling could also test our DIY skills?

Strolling Through Old Town
Undeterred by the rain, we ventured out to explore the picturesque old town of Lucerne. Armed with our cameras and umbrellas, we embraced the wet weather and captured some stunning snapshots of the historic streets and buildings.

Crossing the Kapellbrücke
No visit to Lucerne is complete without a leisurely stroll across the iconic Kapellbrücke, or Chapel Bridge. Despite the rain, the bridge's medieval charm and iconic paintings provided a captivating backdrop for our rainy day adventure.

Boat Ride on Lake Lucerne
With the rain finally subsiding, we seized the opportunity to embark on a scenic boat ride on Lake Lucerne. As the sun emerged from behind the clouds, the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and quaint lakeside villages left us in awe. It was as if we had stepped into a postcard-worthy scene!

Wrapping Up
Despite the unexpected rain, our first day in Lucerne turned out to be a memorable and adventurous experience. From DIY raincoats to enchanting boat rides, we embraced every moment of our rainy day escapade in this beautiful Swiss city.
